Description
The Shurtape SHT909535 is a standard pistol grip tape gun dispenser, 3 inch width, for 3 inch core, model SD935.
The 3 inch core is the fitment specification and it is the one that matters, because it is not the same as the tape width.
Packaging tape comes on two common core sizes, and a dispenser is built for one of them. A roll with the wrong core will not go on the spindle, or it will spin loose. Confirm both the width and the core before ordering — the width is what people check and the core is what catches them out.
What a pistol grip dispenser buys over a hand-held roll is speed and consistency. It applies tension, it cuts cleanly with a serrated blade, and it lays the tape flat. A roll applied by hand is slower, the tape wanders, and the operator ends up picking at the end of the roll to find the edge — which is the small daily frustration that a packing station generates a hundred times a day.
Consistent tension also matters for the seal. Tape applied loose bridges the seam rather than bonding to both flaps, and a carton taped loosely opens in transit.
The blade is a consumable and a hazard. It is sharp, it is exposed, and it stays that way.
