The Gorilla Glue GOR105680 is Tough & Wide heavy-duty duct tape, 2.88 inch x 25 yards, in silver.

The width is the specification and it changes what the tape can do. At 2.88 inches this is more than half again the width of a standard 1.88 inch roll, and width translates directly into holding power — adhesive area scales with it, and so does the tensile strength of the scrim across the tape's length. A wider tape holds heavier things and spans wider gaps in a single pass rather than requiring two overlapping strips.

That single-pass capability matters more than it sounds. Two strips of tape have a seam between them, and a seam is where a repair starts to fail.

Note the trade in roll length: 25 yards here against 30 yards on the 1.88 inch roll. That is not a shortfall — a wider tape on the same core diameter yields less length, because there is more material per yard. Buyers comparing rolls on price should compare on area rather than length.
