The Sellstrom JKSS32100 is a DP4 Series face shield replacement window, 9 x 12.125 x 0.060 inch, clear, with anti-fog coating.

This is the consumable half of a face shield system, and understanding the split explains the whole category. Headgear is durable; windows are not. A window pits under grinding sparks, scratches from contact, crazes from chemical exposure, and gets replaced repeatedly across one headgear's life. Selling them separately means replacing what wears and keeping what does not — and it lets one headgear carry different windows for different tasks.

The anti-fog coating is doing safety work rather than comfort work. A fogged shield gets lifted, and a shield on the forehead protects nothing. The coating is what keeps it on the face.

One caution that belongs with every anti-fog window: the coating is a surface treatment and abrasive cleaning destroys it. Rinse and blot. Wiping a dusty shield with a dry shop rag removes the coating and scratches the window in one motion, and a shop that cleans shields that way replaces them constantly and blames the product.

The 0.060 inch thickness is the heavier gauge — more impact resistance, more weight.
