The Optrel OPT5000.001 is an inside cover lens for the Optrel e680, e684, e670, e650, e640, p550 Liteflip, Vega View and Crystal 2.0 welding helmets, 5 per package.

The inside cover lens is the one people forget, and forgetting it is expensive.

Everyone understands the outer cover plate: it takes the spatter and gets replaced. The inner plate, sitting between the filter and the welder's eye, seems like it should last forever — nothing hits it.

Except it does. Grinding dust gets in past the shell. Sweat and skin oil reach it. The welder's own breath condenses on it, and it gets wiped with a glove, which scratches it. Over months it hazes, and a hazed inner plate is looked through on every single weld — degrading the view of the puddle without ever announcing itself, because the change is gradual. Welders adapt to it and blame the helmet.

It also protects the cartridge from the inside, and an auto-darkening cartridge costs many times what a five-pack of lenses does.

The compatibility list is the important part here: this fits a specific set of Optrel shells and lens fitment is not universal. Confirm your model.

Change the inner lens when the view goes soft, not when it becomes unusable.
