The MJ Brunin CQANC2025 is a MERV 11 pleated air filter with a nominal 20 by 25 inch face dimension, one of the most widely used sizes in residential and light commercial air handling equipment.

MERV 11 filtration captures a significant share of particles in the 1 to 3 micron range, covering fine dust, pollen, mould spores, and pet dander, while keeping pressure drop within the range most residential blowers can tolerate. This is the practical reason MERV 11 has become the common recommendation: it delivers a genuine improvement in air quality over the MERV 6 to 8 filters typically supplied with equipment, without the airflow penalty that higher rated media imposes on systems not engineered for it.

Pleated construction provides the surface area that makes this possible. The folded media presents several times the area of a flat panel within the same frame, keeping face velocity low so the filter can hold a meaningful dust load before restricting airflow.

The larger 20 by 25 inch face is common on higher capacity air handlers and furnaces, where the greater filter area helps offset the pressure drop of finer media.
