The Loctite LOC135381 is Loctite 271 threadlocker, high strength, 50 ml bottle.

Loctite 271 is the high-strength red threadlocker and it should be sold with the disassembly conversation, because that is where it goes wrong.

Red means the joint is meant to stay assembled. Breaking a 271 bond generally requires heating the fastener to around 250°C to degrade the cured polymer before it will turn. On a bench with a torch, that is routine. On a machine in service, surrounded by seals, wiring, paint, and fluids, applying that heat may be impossible — and then the only options are drilling or cutting.

So the question to ask is not how much strength the joint needs; it is whether the fastener will ever come out, and with what tools. If the answer is hand tools, blue is the correct product. 271 is for fasteners that must not move.

Where it belongs, it belongs completely: studs, permanently set fasteners, and joints subject to heavy vibration where a blue locker would eventually surrender.

The cure is anaerobic — liquid in contact with air, solid when air is excluded and metal ions are present. That is why the bottle stays liquid.
