The Loctite LOC135374 is Loctite 262 thread locker, medium to high strength, 50 ml bottle / 1.69 oz.

Loctite 262 is a red threadlocker and the colour is the specification. Red means high strength — a joint that is meant to stay assembled. Blue threadlockers release with hand tools; red generally requires heat to break the cure, typically applied with a torch to around 250°C before the fastener will turn.

That makes the choice between blue and red a decision about the future, not the present. If the fastener will ever need to come out with the tools available at the time, blue is correct. If it must never move, red is correct. Getting it wrong in the red direction means cutting or drilling the bolt out — and on a component that is now in service, that is a serious afternoon.

262 sits at the more moderate end of the red range, described as medium to high strength, which makes it the choice where high strength is wanted but permanent is too strong a word.

The cure is anaerobic: liquid in contact with air, solid when air is excluded and metal ions are present. That is why it sets in the joint and not the bottle.
