Jackson Safety JKS14303 280PL Lift Front Passive Welding Helmet w/Non-Slottled

The Jackson Safety JKS14303 is a 280PL lift front passive welding helmet with a non-slotted hard hat adapter, black, with 370 Speed Dial headgear, a 2 inch x 4-1/4 inch window, and a shade 10 filter.

The lift front design is the specification and it solves a real workflow problem. A welder does not only weld — they position, tack, chip, grind, inspect, and reposition, and each of those needs sight. With a fixed-front helmet the whole helmet gets flipped up and down constantly, which is tiring and, over a shift, is why welders end up striking arcs before the hood is down. A lift front raises just the filter window while the shell stays in place, so the welder keeps face protection during chipping and grinding and only lifts the shade.

The non-slotted hard hat adapter is the fitment specification. Hard hats come slotted and non-slotted, and welding helmet adapters are made for each — the wrong one will not mount. Confirm your hard hats before ordering.

The 2 x 4-1/4 inch window is the compact size, suited to work in confined positions.

Passive means a fixed shade 10 filter rather than auto-darkening — reliable, with nothing to fail or run out of battery, but requiring the welder to position the hood before striking.
