The DiversiTech MSB-KIT is a mini split bib kit for line set cleaning on ductless systems.

Ductless equipment presents a specific version of the contamination problem. Ductless line sets are frequently retained when an indoor or outdoor unit is replaced, because the line set runs through a wall and often within a line set cover, and replacing it means disturbing finished surfaces.

The retained line then carries whatever the previous system left in it into the new one.

Mini split installations have an additional consideration. The line sets are typically smaller in diameter than ducted equipment uses, and the systems carry a relatively small refrigerant and oil charge. A given quantity of contamination represents a larger proportion of the total charge than it would on a bigger system, so the effect is proportionally greater.

Ductless systems also commonly use inverter driven compressors, which are expensive to replace and less tolerant of contamination and acid than older reciprocating equipment.

A bib arrangement contains the flushing agent and the debris as it exits the line, which matters when the work is being done inside a finished room rather than in a plant room.

Confirm the kit suits the line sizes involved, use a flushing agent compatible with the system and lubricant, dry thoroughly with nitrogen, and fit a new filter drier where the system provides for one.
