The Harris 4300672 is a 14.1 ounce MAP-Pro fuel gas cylinder with MPT connection for brazing and soldering.

MAP-Pro and similar fuel gases burn hotter than propane, which extends the range of work that can be done with air fuel equipment rather than requiring oxygen fuel.

The distinction matters for what can be brazed. Soldering copper with a tin based alloy requires relatively modest temperature and propane is adequate. Brazing with a silver bearing filler requires considerably more heat, and on larger tube sizes propane struggles to bring the joint to temperature before heat conducts away.

A hotter fuel gas closes some of that gap, allowing brazing on small and medium sizes with air fuel equipment.

The limitation remains on larger tube. Heat input has to exceed the rate at which heat conducts away along the tube, and above a certain size air fuel equipment cannot achieve it regardless of the fuel. Oxygen fuel equipment is then required.

Cylinder handling applies to these disposable cylinders as to any compressed gas. They must be stored upright, kept away from heat and ignition sources, protected from damage, and never refilled.

Disposal follows local requirements, and cylinders should be fully empty before disposal.

Confirm the cylinder connection matches the torch in use, inspect for damage before fitting, and check the connection for leaks with soap solution before lighting.
