Duracell DURDLCR2B2PK Specialty Battery 3 V Ultra CR2 Lithium 780 mAh

The Duracell DURDLCR2B2PK is a specialty battery, model Ultra CR2, rated 3 V with lithium chemistry and a 780 mAh capacity. Supplied 2 per pack, 36 packs per case.

The CR2 is a distinct format from the more common 123A and the two are not interchangeable — the CR2 is shorter, and a device designed for one will not accept the other. Confirming the format before ordering matters, because the cells look broadly similar to anyone not holding both.

At 3 V and 780 mAh in lithium chemistry, the CR2 delivers the properties that define this cell class: high current output without the voltage sag alkaline suffers under load, reliable operation in cold, and a storage life measured in years rather than months. Those characteristics are why the format persists in equipment that must either work hard on demand or sit idle and still function.

Applications include compact cameras and film equipment, laser sights and optics, rangefinders, security and alarm sensors, smart locks, medical devices, and specialty flashlights.

The multi-year shelf life is the property that matters most in standby applications. A CR2 in a rangefinder or a sensor that is used a few times a year will still deliver full output; an alkaline cell in the same position would have self-discharged.

The 2-pack suits the single and dual-cell devices that use this format.

Users include outdoor and hunting retail, photographers, security installers, and facilities operations.
