Duracell DURDA13B16ZM09 Hearing Aid Battery 1.45 V Zinc Air 13 300 mAh

The Duracell DURDA13B16ZM09 is a size 13 hearing aid battery with zinc air chemistry, rated 1.45 V with a 300 mAh capacity. Supplied 16 per pack, 36 packs per case.

At 300 mAh, size 13 carries the highest capacity of the three common hearing aid sizes in this range — three times that of a size 10 — and capacity translates directly into days between changes. That is the practical reason the size exists: hearing aids are worn all waking hours, and for a wearer who manages battery changes with limited dexterity or eyesight, fewer changes is a genuine quality of life difference rather than a convenience.

Size 13 is used in behind-the-ear and in-the-ear aids, where the device has the physical volume to house a larger cell. Smaller in-canal aids cannot accept it, which is why the smaller sizes exist at all — the trade is always size against runtime.

Zinc air chemistry draws oxygen from the air through ports sealed by the coloured tab. The cell is inert until the tab is pulled and then activates permanently. Refitting the tab does not stop the process, which is why cells should be tabbed until the moment they go into the aid.

The colour-coded tab is standardised across manufacturers so wearers can identify size by colour rather than by reading fine print.

Users include hearing aid wearers, audiology practices, pharmacies, and care facilities.

Confirm the size against the specific device before ordering.
