Duracell DURDL123AB6PK Specialty Ultra Photo Lithium Batteries

The Duracell DURDL123AB6PK is a Specialty Ultra Photo Lithium battery, supplied 6 per pack with 6 packs per case.

The Photo designation points at the application this cell was originally built for and still serves. Film and early digital cameras drew heavy current in short bursts — winding, flash charging, autofocus — and that duty cycle is exactly where alkaline chemistry fails. An alkaline cell's voltage sags under a heavy pulse and recovers slowly, which shows up as a flash that takes seconds to charge. Lithium delivers the pulse and holds voltage.

The 6-pack is the format for someone carrying spares rather than replacing a set. A photographer, a security installer working a route of sensors, or an operation maintaining a fleet of devices buys in sixes because the alternative is running out mid-job.

Beyond cameras, the same properties took this cell into tactical lighting, laser sights, security sensors, smart locks, and outdoor optics — anywhere heavy current, cold operation, or multi-year storage life is required.

That storage life is worth emphasising. A lithium cell sitting in a drawer or in a device that is rarely used will still perform years later, which is what makes it correct for emergency and standby equipment where an alkaline cell would have self-discharged into uselessness.

Users include photographers, security installers, law enforcement, outdoor retailers, and facilities operations.

Supplied 6 per pack, 6 packs per case.
