DiversiTech 6" Speedichannel 230-D6

The DiversiTech 230-D6 is a six inch Speedichannel section for larger line set concealment and routing applications.

Six inch channel accommodates bundles that three and four inch sizes cannot: larger equipment, multi zone ductless installations where several line sets share a route, and runs carrying a condensate drain alongside the refrigerant lines and control cable.

Larger channel brings a few consequences worth planning for. It is more visible on a building elevation, so the routing and the colour matter more to the finished appearance. It is heavier, so fastener spacing and substrate capacity need more attention. And it catches more wind, which on an exposed elevation is a genuine load rather than a theoretical one.

Fastening into structure rather than into cladding alone becomes more important as the channel size increases.

Where several line sets share a channel, they should be arranged so that insulated suction lines are not compressed against one another or against the channel wall. Compression at contact points reduces insulation thickness exactly where the assembly is enclosed and slow to dry.

Thermal expansion over a long run of large channel is also greater, and joints should allow for movement rather than being fixed hard at both ends.

Confirm the channel size against the assembled bundle, use fittings from the same system, and seal all penetrations and terminations against water entry.
