Coppertop DURMN2400B10Z Alkaline Battery 1.5 V AAA

The Duracell DURMN2400B10Z is a Coppertop alkaline battery in AAA size, model MN2400, rated 1.5 V. Supplied 10 per pack, 40 packs per case.

AAA is the second-largest size in the category by volume and it has been gaining ground steadily, for a straightforward reason: devices keep getting smaller. Remotes, wireless mice and keyboards, headsets, slim torches, digital thermometers, and small electronics have migrated from AA to AAA as designers chase thinner products, and battery demand has followed.

The 10-pack sits between the 4-pack impulse buy and the larger stock-up formats, suiting a household that runs several AAA devices and replaces them regularly.

The trade AAA makes against AA is capacity. Same voltage — 1.5 V, as with every alkaline size — but substantially less stored energy, because the cell is physically smaller. A AAA device runs for less time than the equivalent AA one. That is the price of the smaller product, and it is why AAA cells get replaced more often, which in turn is why the size sells as well as it does.

Replace cells as a complete set. A fresh cell in a string with depleted ones gets driven into reverse charge, which causes leaking — and a leaked cell in a remote or a keyboard destroys it.

Applications include households, offices, retail, schools, and general facilities.

Supplied 10 per pack, 40 packs per case.
