Coppertop DURMN14R8DWZ17 Duracell Value Batteries C

The Duracell DURMN14R8DWZ17 is a Coppertop Value battery, MN14R8DW, in C size, supplied 8 per pack.

The Value designation is about cost per cell. An 8-pack lowers the unit price against a 4-pack, and it targets the buyer who has more than one C cell device or wants a spare set on hand — which for this size usually means a household with lanterns and radios kept for outages, or a small operation maintaining a handful of devices.

C is a size defined by its position between AA and D. It carries more energy than an AA, which buys runtime, without the bulk of a D. That suits medium flashlights, lanterns, portable radios, and a long tail of equipment designed when C was a more common format than it is now.

That last point is worth stating plainly, because it affects stocking decisions: C is a slower mover than AA, AAA, or D. Demand for it is real but specific, driven by particular devices rather than by broad usage. Stocking C in the same depth as AA leaves inventory sitting.

The practical rule for multi-cell devices applies: replace the full set together, and do not mix brands or ages. The weakest cell in a series string governs the whole and can be driven into reverse charge, which causes leaks.

Applications include emergency and standby lighting, portable radios, camping, and household equipment.
