Appion Ultimate Deep Seal Vacuum TZMQRT

The Appion TZMQRT is a deep seal valve accessory for vacuum service.

Sealing integrity becomes critical at the pressures involved in deep evacuation, because a leak that would be negligible at system pressure is overwhelming at a vacuum.

The reason is the pressure differential. A tiny leak path with system pressure inside and atmosphere outside passes refrigerant slowly. The same path with a deep vacuum inside and atmosphere outside admits air continuously, and at the flow rates involved in the final stages of evacuation, that inward leakage can prevent the target vacuum being reached at all.

Conventional service valves and couplers are designed to seal against pressure from inside. Sealing against atmospheric pressure pushing inward is a different requirement, and valves designed for vacuum service address it specifically.

The practical symptom of inadequate sealing is an evacuation that reaches a certain level and stops improving regardless of how long the pump runs. Where this occurs, the equipment rather than the system is frequently the cause, and evacuating the hoses and fittings alone, isolated from the system, identifies it.

Applications include refrigeration and air conditioning evacuation.
