Description
The Packard 65569 is a C-frame motor with a 1-1/2 inch shaft, supplied for small fan and OEM equipment applications.
C-frame construction takes its name from the shape of the stator laminations, which form an open C around the rotor rather than fully enclosing it. The design is compact, inexpensive, and simple, and it is used extensively in small OEM fan applications where a purpose-built motor of minimal cost is required.
Because C-frame motors are OEM components rather than general-purpose motors, they are specified by physical fitment as much as by rating. Mounting hole pattern, shaft diameter and length, overall depth, and lead arrangement all vary, and a motor of identical electrical rating may not fit a neighbouring application.
Measuring the original across all of these before ordering is the reliable approach, particularly on older equipment where the manufacturer's parts documentation is no longer available.
Confirm wattage or horsepower, RPM, voltage, rotation, shaft diameter and length, mounting hole pattern, overall dimensions, and permitted mounting orientation before ordering, and check that the fan blade or wheel is undamaged during installation.
