Mars SPDT 24V Relay M90293

The Mars M90293 is a single pole double throw relay with a 24 volt coil.

Single pole double throw describes a relay with one common terminal that connects to a normally closed contact when the coil is de-energised and transfers to a normally open contact when the coil is energised.

The transfer action is what distinguishes SPDT from a simple on-off relay and makes it useful. One circuit is broken as another is made, which is precisely what a changeover or an interlock requires.
