Mars Electric Motor 3/4 HP 208-230V 1075 RPM Rev

The Mars M10590 is a 3/4 horsepower, 208-230 volt, 1075 RPM reversible rotation motor for fan and blower applications in HVAC and commercial equipment.

Operating at 208-230 volts rather than 115 halves the current for the same output, which is why larger fractional motors are specified at the higher voltage wherever the supply is available. Smaller conductors, less voltage drop over long runs, and more headroom in the branch circuit all follow from it.

The dual voltage rating requires no configuration; the winding serves both. What it does require is that the actual supply voltage be known, because a motor operating at 208 volts draws more current than the 230 volt figure on the nameplate and should be assessed against the correct value.

Reversible construction allows rotation to be set at installation by lead selection, and the direction must be confirmed before the equipment returns to service.

The motor requires a correctly rated run capacitor, permanently connected.
