Mars Electric Motor 3/4 HP 115V 1075 RPM Rev Rot

The Mars M10589 is a 3/4 horsepower, 115 volt, 1075 RPM reversible rotation motor for fan and blower duty in HVAC equipment.

At 3/4 horsepower on a 115 volt supply, current draw is substantial and the branch circuit should be verified against the motor nameplate before energising. Conductor size, overcurrent protection, and any disconnect or switch in the circuit all need to be rated for the load, and where the replacement represents an increase over the original motor, none of them can be assumed adequate.

Reversible construction allows rotation to be set at installation through lead selection, which simplifies ordering and reduces the risk of receiving a motor of the wrong hand.

Setting rotation is a step that must not be skipped or guessed. Confirm the required direction from the original installation, wire according to the diagram supplied with the motor, and verify the actual direction before the equipment is returned to service.

The motor requires a permanently connected run capacitor of the specified value.

Confirm horsepower, RPM, voltage, frame diameter, shaft diameter and length, mounting arrangement, and capacitor rating before ordering, and measure running current against nameplate after installation.
