The Genteq 6410 is a 1 horsepower, 460 volt single-phase five-speed motor for fan and blower applications in commercial HVAC equipment.

Five discrete speed taps give considerable flexibility in commercial air handling, where the same motor may need to serve different airflow requirements across ventilation, heating, and cooling modes, or where the installed system's actual resistance differs from the design assumption and the airflow must be trimmed at commissioning.

The 460 volt rating places this motor firmly in commercial and industrial service. It cannot be operated on any lower voltage supply, and the voltage is hazardous, so isolation and verification of the absence of voltage are essential before any work at the motor.

Speed tap selection should be recorded when the original motor is removed, since reproducing the same airflow requires knowing which of the five taps was in use. Unused leads must be individually insulated and secured clear of the blower wheel.

Confirm horsepower, RPM, voltage, rotation, speed configuration, frame diameter, shaft diameter and length, and mounting arrangement before ordering, and verify running current against nameplate after commissioning.
