Genteq Electric Motor 1/2 HP Var Speed 4PIN Blower

The Genteq 6505VUI is a 1/2 horsepower variable speed ECM blower motor with a four-pin control connection, supplied as a replacement for variable-speed indoor blower motors in furnaces, air handlers, and fan coil units.

Variable-speed ECM motors differ from constant-torque X13 style motors in how they are commanded. Rather than accepting discrete speed inputs on separate terminals, a variable-speed motor receives an instruction from the equipment control and continuously adjusts to deliver a target airflow, compensating for changes in system static pressure as filters load and dampers move.

That capability is what allows modern equipment to hold specified CFM per ton across a range of duct conditions, and it is why variable-speed motors are paired with modulating and multi-stage systems.

The four-pin control connection identifies the interface, and it must match the equipment. A variable-speed motor cannot be substituted for a constant-torque motor or the reverse, because the control board expects a particular command protocol.
