FyterTech NPSWR6010C-10 Z-Rag Bulk Reclaimed Color Cut T-Shirt Rags 10 lbs

The FyterTech NPSWR6010C-10 is a box of Z-Rag bulk reclaimed colour cut t-shirt rags for general purpose wiping and cleaning, 10 lb box.

At 10 lb this is the small box in the range, and box weight is worth thinking about rather than defaulting to the biggest.

Rags are bought by weight, and the price per pound falls as the box gets bigger. But a 50 lb box is a large object that has to live somewhere, and rags sitting in a corner of a workshop for two years accumulate dust, damp, and whatever is spilled near them. For a small operation, a van, or a department that gets through a few pounds a month, the small box is the one that gets used while it is still clean.

Colour rags are the mixed grade — reclaimed coloured garments rather than sorted whites. They cost less and they carry a risk worth stating: dye transfer. A wet coloured rag on a light surface can leave colour behind. For machinery and general dirty work that is irrelevant; for anything finished it is not.

The general reclaimed-rag caveats apply: inconsistent sizing, occasional seams or hardware, and lint that rules them out of painting and coating work.

Rags carrying oils or drying finishes go in an oily waste can, not a bin. Oily rag piles self-heat and ignite.
