The Worthington 285397P is a 50 pound refrigerant recovery cylinder for containing recovered refrigerant during service work.

Mixing refrigerants in a recovery cylinder creates a problem that is expensive to resolve. Recovered refrigerant of a single known type can be reclaimed and returned to service. A cylinder containing a mixture of two or more refrigerants generally cannot be separated economically and must be disposed of as waste, at a cost borne by the contractor.

Avoiding this requires discipline in cylinder management.
