Product Highlights
Description
The RGF RGF-SER-2-RH is a Series II REME HALO in-duct air purification system, supplied for installation in the supply duct of forced air heating and cooling equipment.
In-duct air purification treats the conditioned airstream as it leaves the air handler, distributing its output through the duct system into the occupied space. This differs fundamentally from filtration, which acts only on air passing through the media at the equipment. By releasing oxidising species into the supply air, the system continues to act within the room itself, on surfaces and on air that has not yet circulated back to the return.
The Series II designation identifies a specific generation of the product line, with its own cell design, mounting arrangement, and electrical connection. Replacement cells and service parts must match the installed generation rather than the REME HALO family generally, and confirming the model on the existing unit is the first step in any service or retrofit decision.
The cell is a consumable element. Its output declines gradually rather than failing outright, and the system offers no indication when effectiveness has dropped, so replacement should be scheduled on the manufacturer's interval.
Installation is in the supply plenum, wired to run with the blower. Applications include residential and light commercial forced air systems in homes, offices, medical and dental practices, schools, and hospitality properties. Verify duct access and control voltage before installation.
