RGF Air Purification System Replacement Cell

The RGF PHIC-REME-LED HALO is a replacement cell for RGF REME HALO LED in-duct air purification systems, supplied as the serviceable consumable element of the assembly.

The REME HALO family generates ionised hydroperoxides and related oxidising species and distributes them into the conditioned airstream, so that treatment occurs throughout the occupied space rather than only at the air handler. The cell is the component that produces this output, and its capacity diminishes over time as the reactive surfaces are consumed.

That gradual decline is why scheduled cell replacement matters. The system continues to operate and give every outward appearance of working after the cell has lost effectiveness, so unlike a failed component there is no symptom to prompt service. Replacement on the manufacturer's recommended interval, rather than on complaint, is what keeps the installation performing.

Cells are model specific. The LED variant differs from earlier lamp based cells in construction and connection, so the replacement must match the installed system rather than the product family generally.

Installation requires the system to be de-energised, the cell removed from its mounting in the supply duct, and the replacement seated and connected correctly. Note the installation date so the next interval can be scheduled.

Applications include residential and light commercial in-duct air purification on furnaces, air handlers, and rooftop equipment where indoor air quality treatment is part of the system.
