ESP Bulls Eye Hose Nozzle Carded 810-C

The ESP 810-C is a Bulls Eye hose nozzle supplied carded for retail display, used for general washdown and cleaning work.

A hose nozzle is a routine item on HVAC service work, most often for coil cleaning. Condenser coils accumulate dirt, pollen, grass clippings, and airborne debris across a season, and a fouled coil is among the most common causes of poor performance and high head pressure on equipment that is otherwise sound.

Cleaning technique matters more than the equipment used. Coil fins are thin aluminium and are easily flattened by an aggressive stream, and flattened fins block airflow permanently, which is precisely the problem the cleaning was meant to solve. Pressure washers are frequently used on coils and frequently do damage.

The correct approach uses moderate pressure with the stream directed straight through the coil rather than at an angle, and from the inside outward where access allows, so that debris is pushed back out the way it entered rather than driven deeper into the coil.

An appropriate coil cleaning chemical loosens grease and bonded dirt that water alone will not remove, and should be rinsed thoroughly.

Confirm the nozzle suits the hose thread in use. Combing damaged fins with a fin comb restores airflow where they have been flattened.
