DiversiTech Run Capacitor 440V 50 PRCFD5075A

The DiversiTech PRCFD5075A is a round dual run capacitor rated 50 plus 7.5 microfarad at 440 volts for combined compressor and fan motor service in air conditioning equipment.

The condensing unit data plate is the correct source for capacitor specification. It lists the required run capacitor values along with compressor and fan motor electrical data, and it reflects the equipment as manufactured.

The capacitor physically installed in the unit is a less reliable reference. Equipment that has been in service for years may have been repaired more than once, and each repair carries the possibility that an incorrect value was fitted from available stock with the intention of correcting it later.
