DiversiTech Run Capacitor 440V 45 PRCFD4575A

The DiversiTech PRCFD4575A is a round dual run capacitor rated 45 plus 7.5 microfarad at 440 volts, supplied for combined compressor and condenser fan motor service.

Correct mounting orientation matters more than it appears. Capacitors should be mounted with the terminals facing away from the cabinet wall and clear of the panel, so that a wire pulling free cannot short a live terminal to ground and so that the terminals remain accessible for future testing without removing the capacitor from its strap.

The strap itself must match the case diameter. A strap that is loose allows the capacitor to rotate and work its terminals against the wiring, while one that is overtightened can deform the case and stress the seal at the terminal base, which is where moisture ingress begins in outdoor equipment.

Wiring should be dressed so leads do not rest against the compressor discharge line, the condenser coil, or any surface that runs hot.

The 45 microfarad section serves the compressor through HERM and the 7.5 microfarad section serves the condenser fan motor through FAN, with C common to both.

Confirm both values, voltage rating, case dimensions, and terminal arrangement before ordering, and discharge both sections before handling.
