The All-Source DIBOU-JTW-123-50-OR is a 50 foot 12/3 heavy-duty outdoor extension cord.

The 12/3 designation is the specification that matters and the one most often ignored. It denotes 12 AWG conductors, three of them — two current-carrying plus a ground. Conductor gauge determines how much current a cord can carry without overheating, and the relationship with length is what catches people out: voltage drops over distance, and a cord that is adequate at 25 feet may not be at 50. A 12 AWG cord at 50 feet is properly specified for tools drawing real current — a 15 amp grinder, a compressor, a heater — where a lighter 16 AWG cord would run hot and starve the tool.
