The Southwire 553100407 is multi-conductor thermostat cable supplied in a 250 foot package.

High conductor count control cable serves installations where a large number of discrete signals must be carried between a control location and equipment: zone panels serving several zones, commercial equipment with multiple stages and accessories, and building automation interfaces terminating at a central point.

At high conductor counts, the practical considerations change. The cable is physically larger and stiffer, requiring larger bored holes and greater bend radii, and it is heavier, so support at closer intervals is warranted.

Termination becomes a more substantial task, and the case for systematic labelling becomes overwhelming. Landing a dozen conductors without a record of what each carries produces an installation that nobody can service.
