Sitex SAS-300-2 SAS-300 Class B AIS with External GPS Antenna

This is the Si-tex SAS-300 Class B AIS with External GPS Antenna, part number SAS-300-2, from the ais transceivers and receivers range. Within the wider system it handles the job of exchanging vessel identity, position and course data with nearby traffic to reduce collision risk. Shipping weight is recorded as 7.05 lbs. Marine service is demanding, so installation to the manufacturer instructions matters as much as the specification itself. Catalogue placement is AIS Transceivers & Receivers, under Marine Communication. It is supplied by Si-tex as a distinct catalogue item rather than as a substitute for a similar model, so the part number SAS-300-2 should be matched exactly when ordering a replacement.
