Lewmar 589710 300 Stern Thruster Tunnel Kit

Lewmar lists part number 589710, the 300 Stern Thruster Tunnel Kit, under bow and stern thrusters. Its purpose in a marine installation is providing sideways thrust for close-quarters manoeuvring in wind and current. Shipping weight is recorded as 8 lbs. As with any marine component, service life depends on correct installation and on the connection being kept clean and dry. Catalogue placement is Bow & Stern Thrusters, under Boat Control Systems. It is supplied by Lewmar as a distinct catalogue item rather than as a substitute for a similar model, so the part number 589710 should be matched exactly when ordering a replacement.
