Spray-applied rubber sealant is a coating that goes on as a liquid and cures into a flexible rubberised membrane. The value is in what that combination allows: it reaches places a sheet material or a tape cannot be fitted — irregular shapes, awkward angles, overhead surfaces, the underside of things — and it seals as a continuous film rather than a joint that has to be lapped and detailed.

The flexibility is the functional property rather than a description. A rigid sealant on a surface that moves — from thermal expansion, vibration, or load — cracks, and a cracked seal is no seal. A rubberised coating flexes with the substrate and stays continuous.

Colour matters more than it appears on a product like this. Blue is a visible colour against most substrates, which means coverage is obvious during application and gaps are visible rather than assumed. On a sealant, missed coverage is the failure point.

Aerosol application suits repair work and small areas rather than large-scale coating, where a brush or roller grade would be more economical.
