The ECCO 200495 is a 4 inch diameter by 60 inch flexible gas vent connector, the longest in this range, for gas appliance venting.

At five feet, this connector covers installations where the appliance is located a considerable distance from the vent. Before selecting it, the vent sizing should be checked, because a lateral run of this length contributes substantially to the total the vent must overcome, and the tables in the fuel gas code limit lateral length relative to vent height, vent diameter, and appliance input. A connector this long on a short vent frequently exceeds what the tables permit.

Where the sizing does allow it, installation quality determines the outcome. The connector must rise continuously toward the vent at the code required pitch, which over five feet is a substantial total rise that must be planned rather than accommodated. It must be supported at intervals so that it holds that pitch without sagging, since a low point in a connector collects condensate and obstructs flue flow, producing intermittent spillage that is difficult to diagnose.
