The DiversiTech PRCFD7075A is a round dual run capacitor rated 70 plus 7.5 microfarad at 440 volts for large compressor and condenser fan motor applications.

Sustained low supply voltage is as damaging to a capacitor and its motors as a surge, and it is far more common. During peak demand periods, particularly in the late afternoon of a hot day, distribution voltage can sag meaningfully below nominal. A motor operating on reduced voltage draws increased current to maintain output, and that increased current flows through the run capacitor's auxiliary winding circuit.

The result is elevated heating in both the motor and the capacitor at precisely the time of year when ambient temperature is already at its worst.
