DiversiTech Capacitor 60/5 MFD 440/370V TRCFD605

The DiversiTech TRCFD605 is a round dual run capacitor rated 60 plus 5 microfarad at 440 and 370 volts for compressor and condenser fan motor applications.

The most reliable specification for a replacement capacitor comes from the equipment, not from the part being removed. The condensing unit data plate lists the required run capacitor values as manufactured, and the compressor and fan motor nameplates give the individual requirements. Those sources reflect what the equipment was designed to use.

The installed capacitor reflects only what was fitted at the last repair, which may or may not have been correct. Older equipment that has changed hands, been serviced by several contractors, or had motors replaced accumulates these discrepancies, and simply matching the removed part carries every previous error forward.

Reading the data plate takes a moment and settles the question. Where weather has made it illegible, the motor nameplates remain accessible with the fan assembly lifted.
