The Builder's Best 110264 is an 8 inch diameter by 8 foot flexible aluminum duct for exhaust and ventilation connections.

Eight inch duct serves larger exhaust duties: kitchen ventilation, workshop and utility exhaust, larger bathroom systems, and inline fan connections. At this diameter the flexible section is typically used as a connector between an inline fan and rigid duct, or to negotiate an offset that rigid fittings cannot conveniently make.

The airflow penalty of flexible duct is proportionally significant at every diameter. The corrugated bore produces far more resistance than smooth rigid pipe, and the effect compounds when the duct is installed compressed, sagging between supports, or bent through tight radii.
